What this website collects

Browsing this site collects nothing about you. There is no analytics platform, no advertising pixel, no third-party tracker and no cookie of any kind. The site’s content security policy blocks external scripts, so one could not be added by accident without the page visibly failing.

The one thing stored in your browser

If you use the light and dark control in the header, your choice is saved in your own browser under the key talaan-theme. It holds one word, light or dark. It never leaves your device, it is never sent to us, and it is not a cookie, so it is not attached to any request. Clearing your site data removes it, and the site then follows whatever your operating system is set to.

The typefaces are served from this domain rather than from Google, so loading a page on Talaan does not announce your visit to anybody else.

Server logs

Like any web server, ours records the request: the IP address it came from, the page asked for, the time, and the browser’s own user-agent string. These are used to keep the site running and to see whether it is being attacked, and for nothing else. They are not joined to any other record, not sold, and not shared.

If you write to us

There is no form on this site. The contact page gives an email address. If you write to support@tekhx.com, we keep your message and your address for as long as the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that a later reply still has its context. It is used to answer you. It is not added to a mailing list, and you will not receive marketing you did not ask for.

The product is a separate matter

This policy covers this website. Talaan the system, the one holding an employer’s HR and payroll records, is operated under a separate written agreement with that employer, who is the controller of the personal data inside it. If you are an employee asking about your own records, your employer is the right first contact.

Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) you may ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be erased. Write to support@tekhx.com and we will answer. Because this site collects nothing, in practice that means the contents of any email you have sent us.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. There is no archive of earlier versions; the page is short enough that the current one is the whole story.
